Laptop Systems

Laptop computers are provided to students in grades nine and above enrolled in Commonwealth Connections Academy in Pennsylvania. Students in other states with special circumstances, including IEP requirements or health needs that require hospital stays, may also receive laptop computers. Please contact your school principal to determine your eligibility and to provide the appropriate documentation.

Refurbished Systems

There is a possibility you will receive a desktop or laptop computer with slightly lower processing speed and a smaller hard drive since computers are returned and reused when students leave the school. All other specifications are the same, and all computers are recent models of high-end, business-quality machines. All used computers are completely cleaned and re-imaged. (All prior software and content is removed and replaced with a completely new software and operating system installation.) All computers supplied by Connections Academy receive full technical support. Desktop and laptop computers are typically replaced every three to four years, depending on usage.

Printers

Printers supplied by Connections Academy are HP Color Deskjet printers. Printers come with one tri-color ink cartridge and a USB cable. Printers meet the following specifications:

• Color print speed up to 12.5 PPM
• Resolution up to 4800x1200 dpi
