About Us

Wisconsin Connections Academy (WCA) is a public virtual charter school that serves students in grades K–8. The school opened in September 2002. Students residing in Wisconsin are eligible to attend the school if they meet applicable enrollment requirements.

WCA is authorized under state law by the Appleton Area School District. The authorizer representative for this school is Linda Dawson, Assistant Superintendent, dawsonlinda@aasd.k12.wi.us. The school is operated by the Appleton Area School District and the Wisconsin Connections Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. The school is governed by the Appleton Area School Board and advised by an independent Board of Directors and all meetings are open to the public. A list of the meeting dates and locations may be obtained by contacting the school principal.
